Jimbaran Seafood
Be sure to go to “Jimbaran Bay’s famous beachfront seafood warungs (restaurants), where freshly grilled fish, prawns, lobster and squid are served at tables on the sand at lunch or under the stars.” — quoted mrandmrssmith.com
Cuca Flavor Restaurant
Cuca serves tapas made from the best and freshest local ingredients. Their dishes are designed to be shared. It’s recommended to order 3 dishes per person to share. We ordered only 2 per person and it was more than enough for us. They gave us a complimentary mini appetizer too!
We were there for a weekday lunch (January, low season) and there was no one around. So we got the whole place to ourselves as well as the full attention of the staff! Woots~
The sous chef came out to talk to us too. He’s a Malaysian chef who was working in a Singapore hotel before he was invited to join his mentor at Cuca. I reckoned he was happy to see us Singaporeans, a tinge of familiarity in this secluded place.
Verdict: The food was awesome! Great place for me, because I am one who likes small portions and order different dishes to share and try. So if you are a buffet kind of person, who is satisfied more by quantity than quality, you might want to give this place a miss. Otherwise, pop by if you are thinking of where to eat in Jimbaran.
