There are tons of eating places in Seminyak and choices are aplenty. Here are some places to explore on your next visit to Seminyak Bali.

Naughty Nuri’s Warung

for pork ribs

Naughty Nuri’s Warung is famous for its pork ribs… for the tourists. Though the ribs are good, the prices are apparently too expensive for the locals. Besides the famous pork ribs, it also serves other western and BBQ items.

We tried the pork ribs and grilled chicken and both were fantastic! The ribs were BBQ-ed to perfection and the meat falls off the bones easily. The chicken was tender and soft and not dry at all. Personally, I think the secret is in the awesome-sauce.

The restaurant is isolated up north and quite a distance from Seminyak square.

Warung Wahaha

for pork ribs

If Naughty Nuri’s is too far up north for you, there’s Warung Wahaha on the south side of town. Another place with good reviews for its pork ribs!

Café Bali

for hipster fusion food café

Nice setting, good location, serves a fusion of Western and Indonesian food. There are mixed reviews for this place. We went anyway because of our friends’ recommendation. Our friends were there every day for breakfast throughout their stay. They liked it because it serves food found in Singapore’s hipster cafes, but at more affordable rates.

However, we went there for lunch and the food was not fantastic. The mains and desserts were average, even the fruit juice was so-so. Our verdict? Give this a place a miss. Very forgettable.

Sea Circus

for hipster western food café

Sea Circus wasn’t on our list of restaurants to go to. But it was near to our hotel and hence we walked by quite a few times. It has a circus/naval-themed décor which is colourfully attractive.

I was inclined to dine there, but we didn’t have the time and chose Café Bali over Sea Circus. Wrong move. The online reviews for Sea Circus were much better than Café Bali. It serves tacos, salads, cocktails, smoothies, churros (must-try), etc.

Will try when I revisit Seminyak!

Wacko Burger

For Burgers

Wacko Burger ranks #3 of restaurants in Seminyak on Tripadvisor.

The burgers were delicious but nothing too special because it’s similar to Fat Boy Burgers we tried in Singapore. Though if you are craving for some burgers, beer and fries, this is a great place to visit.

They have interesting puzzle blocks on each table for you to play with as you wait for their food. Good and friendly service.

Sardine

for affordable fine dining

The restaurant is small and cosy, with excellent ambience and service. Patrons also get a great view of the rice fields. Yup, they grow their own rice!

It serves mainly fish and seafood. We had this clam dish which was gooood! They also served complimentary appetizers and warm bread, which was great.

We spent about R550,000 (incl. of tax) for two. Cheap for fine dining. But if your budget is tight, its lunch is more affordable.

Metis

for affordable fine dining

Just next to Sardine is Metis. Fine dining with an amazing view of the rice paddies too. The restaurant is also slightly bigger with bar, lounge, etc.

French Mediterranean cuisine.

Here’s a list from lovebangers.com.au of quality food at cheap prices:

La Luciola. Good for breakfast, lunch and sunset dinners or just coffee. A relaxing, modern Italian joint with reasonable prices.  It’s right on Seminyak beach with great views from upstairs.  Bookings for dinner are required. Jl. Kayu Aya | Petitenget Beach, Seminyak, Kuta
