Perth Fremantle – Food (no. 2/2): Hot Chocolate & Churros
Australia (Perth & Melbourne) Itinerary Overview (2013).
▲ Useful Tourist Information | ▲ Fremantle
Fremantle, Perth’s seaport, is a highly recommended place to visit if you drop by Perth. It is also known for its good food and drink. It has also built a strong reputation for its microbreweries over the years.

1) San Churro
After having our brunch and lunch in Perth Fremantle – Food Reviews (No. 1/2), I was craving for some hot chocolate drink in the cold weather! We should have walked on a bit to find cafes located only in Fremantle and not jump into the first place we saw serving churros — San Churro.
San Churro is all over Australia. Though I was eager to try their churros and see if they’re the same as those I tried in Mexico. And nope, I still haven’t found the same delicious churros elsewhere, not in Singapore, not in Australia.
This café presumably had the greatest variety of hot chocolates than other ‘normal’ cafés. Also, their chocolate drinks have a much thicker consistency.
We opted for ‘Classic Spanish’ to savour its purported thick and legendary Spanish hot chocolate. It turned out to be a bit too thick for my liking. But I would love to try its ‘Hot and Cold’ the next time — a hot chocolate drink with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The average price for their hot chocolates is around A$6.00 to A$7.00. You can find their menu on their website.

2) Blink Coffee Bar
From the online reviews, you can expect awesome chocolate drinks and coffee from this coffee bar! Also, they have a great and friendly service to welcome you. Though limited in their variety of chocolate drinks, be sure to try their hazelnut flavoured hot chocolate. :)

- Hot Chocolate (Dark, White, Milk or Caramel), Belgian Chocolate Mocha (Dark, White, Milk or Caramel). The hot drink is served in with a flamed warmer to keep your chocolate hot till the last drop.
- Iced Chocolate, Chocolate Frappes, Iced Mocha, Belgian Chocolate Milk Shake
